Hotlinking is not allowed [01 Oct 2003|04:54am] [ mood | pissed off ] caillen, here. I believe mithas has said this before, no hotlinking. We love making icons for people but stealing bandwidth on our sites are a definite no-no. I'm giving whoever it is a chance to save the icon on his/her own server for 3 days. If the link is not taken down within that span of time, all the icons on my server will be deleted. I'm pissed off. That doesn't happen often 1 scholars - it's not just art, it's a science

These are all old icons I made specifically for use on my own LJ, but which I'm no longer using, so I thought I'd put them up for grabs. Hotlinking [20 Sep 2003|12:10pm] [ mood | annoyed ] mithas here with no new icons still. Honestly people, we don't really ask for much when it comes to using our icons. We're not anal about giving us credit on your keywords, we'd appreciate it if you would, but unlike other people, we won't get on a right indignant fit when you don't either. We only ask that you actually tell us when you'll be taking an icon for use, if only because we'd love to know if you like an icon enough to use it. Yet that isn't even necessary at all, and we've come across various people using our icons without credit or without telling us they'll be using it, and that's fine. But hotlinking to our files on our server is asking too much. Especially when you're using the file as a signature on a message board where the threads are loaded and reloaded day in and day out. We will find out if you've been hotlinking our files, and we will find out from where. Not crediting isn't bad folks, but hotlinking is. it's not just art, it's a science
